Holiday Events, Pajama Day, Classroom Updates and More!
Hello Kindergarten Families,
We have a busy month ahead! With the holidays fast approaching our School Council has been busy organizing our annual Santa Night!
We will be offering lots of activities for our families/children to enjoy including:
- A Bugz Christmas Musical presented by our grade 1-3 students
- A photo opportunity with Santa
- A Christmas Craft Station
- Cookies and milk and a silent auction of Holiday Baskets
Each class has selected a theme for their basket. Our theme is Birthday Party! Each student is encouraged to donate one item that could be added to our class basket.
Tomorrow, Friday November 20th, we are having a pajama day!! Students are encouraged to wear their coziest PJ’s to school and bring 1 stuffed animal if they choose. We will also be making cupcakes!!
Home Reading (SK Students)
We would like to thank all our parents for your continuous support with our home reading program. Just a reminder, please return your child’s reading folder and book back to school each Friday. On Mondays, your child will be sent home with their reading folder and a new reading book.
Classroom Inquiries/Items Needed
A number of students have been working hard to build a “Santa’s Workshop”. They have built a work bench, cut out pictures to help assist the elves in making different toys, and are currently working on “Santa’s conveyor belt”. If you/or your child would like to donate any items to this ongoing project, they would be greatly appreciated!
This could be a great topic of conversation at the dinner table, working alongside your child to brainstorm ideas/materials (i.e., what might Santa have in his workshop/outside the workshop, elves – what do you need to make the costumes etc.), which could help enrich their learning experience at school.
We are currently in need of paper towel. We are well stocked with other items thanks to your generous donations! 🙂
