There has been a lot of discussion about going to the movies in our class lately; specifically the movie, “Frozen”. As a group we decided to turn our classroom into a movie theatre.
Together we developed a web that included what you might need or see when you are at the movies. The children were really engaged in their project and we got to see some wonderful teamwork and creativity during this process.
It also allowed for many literacy and math opportunities as well (i.e., creating signs, making money, buying snacks and tickets [adding their total together with a number sentence]).
